I took this photo while on holiday in Tasmania. While not all cultures see nature as intrinsically beautiful, to many people in modern urban environments nature provides releif from the intense built environment and pace of life. I would like to be able to include the calm and stillnes of this photo in any architectural work I may do. Also, the dark and intimate foreground, opening to the outside world through a curtain fronds, reminds me that a building can moderate the interplay between personal and public life.
